We are a community led pool (not for profit) that provides affordable aquatic and other activities for everyone.

The trustees, staff and volunteers of Birtley Community Pool are committed to providing a quality and continually improving aquatic centre and a range of activities which meet community needs.

We will:

• Listen to customers and provide solutions within our capacity
• Promote participation in sporting activities, learning to swim and community development
• Work with other organisations to provide the best service
• Keep our charity’s values and the community at the core of everything we do
• Support health and wellbeing in the wider community
• Provide a safe and friendly environment for aquatic and other leisure activities

We visited today as 2 adults and honestly, what a gem. Birtley Community Pool is such an amazing space that we are lucky to have! Just want to say a massive massive thankyou to everyone from the pool tonight! I had my little girls birthday party here and it was absolutely amazing , but the staff couldn't have helped more! They were welcoming, attentive, listened to my questions & any concerns I had! They went above and beyond for the whole event! Life guards, staff, management all of them have just been amazing! Couldn't fault them or the venue! So so glad I chose to hold our girls birthday celebrations here! Would 1000% recommend this place for a party or just in general! Great to see Birtley Pool back. Amazing, friendly and helpful staff and lifeguards. Three pools to choose from. Everywhere very clean.  I have a mobility problem which means getting into and out of the pool difficult, however there is a chair,  operated by a lifeguard, which lowers me into the pool and out again when I'm ready to leave.
